With January winding up, it’s safe to say that we’ve all settled into our new school schedules. A new year brings high expectations, harder work, long nights up awake, and piles of homework as an extra bonus! Whilst all this havoc, it can become difficult to keep up with all our work and attain our goals. Here are some easy, yet effective ideas that you can adapt into your lives to help pave an easier school life for yourself!

1) Study Effectively!
Many of us are culprits of doing homework while listening to music and surfing the net. This habit needs to stop immediately! Although we may not realise it, but we spend double the time from what we should have spent by committing this common mistake. Go away from all these tempting distractions and study effectively! Before you even know it, you’ll be done your homework much quicker, and have a handful of time to spare!

2) Have a quiet space to study!
Sitting in front of the TV while finishing homework just isn’t an option! Rather, find a quiet place within your home where there are minimal distractions and no noises. You’ll be surprised at how much work you can get done when you isolate yourself from the common family distractions!

3) REVIEW!
There is nothing as important as reviewing! Students should set a day in the week when they go over the material they have covered in their classes. One should never underestimate the importance of reviewing and practicing what they have learnt. Reviewing helps avoid the ordinary cramming-before-a-test situation and helps you remember your material on a long-term basis. These, of course, are a few of the many things reviewing helps students with!

4) Use a Planner!
While planners may seem lame and a complete waste, think again! These handy tools are very useful in a typical student’s life. Begin writing down your homework; mark out dates for clubs/games, and plan out your time for upcoming assignments! Just taking a few minutes to jot down such things can make a big difference!

5) Ask for help!
When you need help or don’t understand a concept, don’t hesitate to ask! This is one of the most common factors that lead to students lagging behind in their classes. Remember, that if you are struggling with something, many more are probably in the same situation. By following this advice, one can avoid falling behind in their classes and losing precious marks!

Well, here you have it! A few simple steps that a make a world of difference. Well, what are you waiting for? Put these steps to action!!!!
