Known mostly for their hit “Tonight, I Love You”, a song that gained a tonne of radio play as well as the number one spot on the Daily Ten on Much On Demand for awhile, as well as their newest single “Kids“, the Latency have created an awesome first full-length album. It’s packed with great vocals and amazing riffs. There are songs like “Can You Hear Me Call?”, “How’s It Feel”, “Kids” and “Hello” that you can blast and sing-along to at the top of your lungs. Then songs like “Don’t Go” and “Fork In The Road” that are just beautiful. The Bio on their website says that the goal of the band that call Maple Ridge home, is to “ make music that inspires and connects with their audience in the same way that music has inspired and connected with them” and I can honestly say that I believe they accomplished that goal on this record. The only downside for me is that if you have their EP “Chomp!!”, then you have six of the songs already. With the mind-blowing music these boys are creating, it would have been nice to have 12 brand new songs but either way it’s very impressive coming from a band as young as they are. I’d give this CD 4 out of 5 stars. Now I’m going to sit back and watch these boys explode. =)
