OMG! I can not wait until until the new Harry Potter Movie comes out on July 15!

Right now I am reading the book. I have to say the Harry Potter series are my favorite to read and watch. My favourite character is probably Hermonie. She is so cool and smart! I think she is totally falling for Ron though because she got so jealous when he started dating Lavender Brown.

As a little kid, I have always loved Disney movies and their happy endings. The happy endings (and mini morals of the movies) always gives me hope that I can apply to daily life situations. Well, the movie Bolt did not fail to generate hope in my heart either.

Hollywood never ceases to amaze me. Of all the bizarre stories that are out there, who would've thought that one about a man who ages backwards would be such a hit? Indeed, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett caught me by surprise- in many ways.

Twilight, a New York Times Best Seller written by Stephenie Meyer that hit the shelves in 2006, is now a phenomenon on the big screen. Putting vampire gore cliche aside, Meyer's story is about a forbidden, yet romantic teenage relationship about a human, Isabella (also known as "Bella") Swan and a vampire, Edward Cullen, and how they overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.

Speed Racer, an action-packed PG movie that makes every head spin in the movie theatre. Directed by Andy and Larry Wachowski, this blindingly colourful movie, set in the future, revolves around a race-car crazed world, where it was bigger than the World Series.

10,000 B.C. was the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. I kid you not. Advertised as the “epic” of our time I walked in to the theatres with my friends expecting a good solid 3 hours of non stop, mammoth chasing, sabre-tooth tiger fighting action. You can only imagine my anger when I realized that it was not in fact anything like I thought it would be.

Imagine you buy tickets to a Clapton concert. Then they cancel it. That’s how let down I was.

Although I expected more humour from Raven-Symone, College Road Trip didn't turn out to be as bad as I expected. For a movie that I was dragged into watching, what impressed me the most was Martin Lawrence's acting. He did a good job in portraying an over-protective father who does everything he can in order to keep his daughter close to home.

It's strange how during a Hollywood blockbuster, it seems like Canada does not exist during those one hundred and thirty minutes. Of course, you recognize the Vancouver skyline or the British Columbia rainforests, yet the American flags tell the viewer loud and clear that this film takes place in the United States. There is nothing wrong with this, yet as Canadians it's hard not to feel a little left out. Fortunately, there are often very Canadian influences in these films that you may or may not realize.

Across the Universe is an Academy Award nominated musical set to some of the Beatles most iconic songs. It is essentially a “boy-meets-girl” love story surrounding Jude (Jim Sturgess), a dockworker and artist from Liverpool, and Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood), a high school senior from upper class suburbia.
