Because of Winn-Dixie

 Many times people say why bother with the book when you can just watch the movie? I disagree with those people. The Book Because of Winn-Dixie explains much more than the movie. When you see the movie Because of Winn-dixie you feel like you're watching Opal's every move, well you can not say that for the book. Each page makes you feel as if you're right there as Opal. The authors wonderful description can't be compared with any other book...

Because of Winn-Dixie is a classic novel. Each chapter you read seems to come alive from Kate DiCamillo's excellent discription.As I was reading I felt almost as if I was part of the story. It's everything all wrapped up in one. The book focuses on friendship, responsibility, and loyalty. It may be an easy and short read but I feel that older reader's will be stuck to the book as well. Because of Winn-Dixie is basically about a young girl named Opal, who one day finds a dog in the supermarket and about their journeys and adventures together.

The book Because of Winn-dixie has that exciting and old fashioned touch to it as they live in a motor home and the way the pastor ran the church. I love those types of books that make's you travel back in time, and certainly Because of Winn-dixie did not fail to bring me back in time.

This book is the type that you can read over and over again and never get tired of it. I've been reading this book since I was seven yet I still seem to forget all the mysteries and adventures that Opal goes through.
