Let The Problems Be

I wanna wake up

And it’ll all be good

I wish I could put on my make-up

And be understood

But my dreams are out of my reach

The world needs to be taught something

But who’s there to teach

I’m helpless and in trouble

And if people don’t start to care

All the problems will double

Why don’t they get it?

They say I'm just too young to be worrying about that stuff

Homeless people becoming the victims of poverty

The amount of children out their starving

The number is very alarming

And I don't think it's fair

That all people can do is stare

A teenage girl on the street

With her own child to feed

It makes me think there isn't a point in saying grace

I fold my hands with tears splashing down my face

I don't want to let the chips fall where they may

Because for some people tomorrow won't be another day

For them they just want someone to hold

Because the world is so very cold

I'm so mad and frusterated

I'm confused

I feel obligated

But what can I do?

I'm just too young they tell me

So let the problems be

Hopefully one day they will see.
