Encapsulating Memory

The memory woven into heart strings

Raw and painful

The two syllables of his name

Explosive in my ears

Brightly colored slideshows-white hot

Blinded perception, crossing reality

The forced truth burdens

Empty hands with nothing to grasp

Eyes penetrating my memory

The corruption of adoration

I catch his faint scent

Breathe in the familiar loss

The new love encapsulates me

Warming with all its fresh desire

Erasing each frame, stroke by stroke

Dissolving white memories

Chest beating, heavy versus light

Each beat screams the names

The one I lost

And the one I gained

The silence smothers desperate thoughts

My conscience vocal in the night

Endlessly Whispering

“You never knew, and you never will know love”

Beautiful

CaItLiN

Wow, that was one beautiful poem. It was pretty deep and hard to understand but its beauty made up for that.
